Lilibet Diana, the daughter of Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle, is now also the official heir to the throne.

The British Queen has a new successor. Seven weeks after her birth, Lilibet Diana was added to the heirs to the throne of Queen Elizabeth. She takes eighth place, after her brother in seventh place and her father in sixth place.
First place is still for Prince Charles. He is the longest-serving direct heir to the throne in British history. He has held that first position since February 6, 1952, when his mother was crowned. Charles was then three years old. He is followed by Prince William and his children George, Charlotte and Louis.

Lilibet’s eighth place can change in the future. Just like her brother and father’s. If the children of Prince William and wife Kate decide to have children of their own, those children will be given priority.
