Liliak is a new proposal of Güi Theater which, maintaining its loyal style of gestural comic theater, introduces us to this peculiar fusion of clown and magic, but a lot of magic. An explosive mix to the taste and pleasure of the unconditional lovers of the Clown, the Humor without words and the gestural Comedy of the Slapstic.
Some forgotten characters, not human. Characters who live on the fringes of the known world but, at the same time, are one of our greatest observers. They feed on birds, rodents and other species that are around them. Liliak it is a reflection of our most instinctive and most animal being but, at the same time, more pure. They are not from here, they are not from this world, but they are among us. They look at us, they imitate us, they know where our limits are, but they only observe, breathe and survive. Despite their hundreds of years, they play, have fun, love each other, time has not erased his innocence, their desire to know and their illusion for life or, rather, for death.
The tandem that stars in the play is more than awarded: Seville Stage Actor Award in 2019 for Mané Solano for the excellent work carried out in this production and the Seville Stage Actress Award in 2015 for Eba Rubio and Best Actress Award at the Palma del Río Theater Fair for Eba Rubio.
Teatro Güi was born in 2016 with Abel Mora and Mané Solano. Although it is a young company, its components have a long history in the Andalusian and national theater scene. It is in 2019 where Teatro Güi decides to return to a scenic proposal, already further away from social work but it is an interesting reunion between great professionals from the world of clown and acting (Gregor Acuña and Eba Rubio), a basic pillar on which the company works.
