Plus, Betty feels she can be more honest about her darker thoughts with Drake than she can with Archie. Veronica encourages Betty to talk to Archie about their relationship and advises her to keep things professional with Drake.

She stated: “We love Agent Drake’s weird, wild curveball complication that says, ‘I’m attracted to you.’ Of course we didn’t want to compromise or create dramas where there was no drama to create. “
Aguirre-Sacasa also admitted that Lili Reinhart she was worried about Riverdale’s new romance because she didn’t want Betty to “cheat on Archie.” But this was never the plan.
