With an imposing physique and inheriting her mother’s charisma, Lina Teresa Luaces is building a successful career in the world of modeling. At 22 years old, Lili Estefan’s daughter has already participated in a long list of important events in the industry, including New York Fashion Week. This year, the young woman has returned to the ‘Big Apple’ to parade with the creations of Giannina Azarand, as expected, her proud mom has been front row to support her.

As she had announced a few days ago, Lina traveled to New York to participate in Fashion Week. Her first catwalk was on September 8 at The Angel Orensanz Foundation, where she swept the board with her powerful walk modeling a beautiful and shiny gold off-the-shoulder dress.

Apparently, it wasn’t until the next day that Lili was able to be present and it was the most special occasion. Dressed in a spectacular black dress with a gold corset and matching wide choker, Lina made an impact at the parade in honor of Agatha Ruiz de la Prada and at the anniversary ceremony of the Fashion Designers of Latin America, events that took place at the United Palace theater.

Before the parade, the presenter of The Fat Man and the Skinny Girl (Univision) had shared a glimpse of her daughter’s preparation on her Instagram stories. “Bella, I love you, I can’t wait to see you. Here they are transforming her all over,” said Lili while showing her daughter in the background. And she also shared the behind-the-scenes of Lina’s photo shoot with one of Giannina’s designs. “That’s my daughter”she said proudly.

Of course, the host did not miss the opportunity to share some glimpses of the catwalk with her followers. “You are killing it”she wrote alongside the video in which Lina was seen in the centre of an exquisite Renaissance-style hall, as if she were a princess in a palace.

“I do this for my younger self,” wrote Lina when posting a video of her spectacular show. The model did not forget to express her sincere gratitude for accompanying her at such a special moment in her career. “The best mother in the world. She flew just to see me walk. I love you so much.”she wrote alongside a cute pose with Lili. “Quick visit to #Newyork to see my daughter @linaluaces at #NYFashionweek,” the collaborator of Univison.

The lessons Lina has learned in the world of modeling
Throughout Lina’s time working in modeling, she has learned important lessons about what it takes to succeed in the industry. “You need to be yourself. That’s the most important thing I can tell anyone. It’s a really brutal industry, but individuality is what will make you shine and set you apart.”he said last June in an interview with the digital magazine Miami Pocket.
“I would also tell you to never compare yourself. The good qualities of others do not take away from your own. The most important thing is that you feel complete with yourself. Chances are you’ll hear something hurtful at one point or another, so it’s up to you to build your self-esteem to the point where those comments don’t even affect you,” she added as advice for the new generation of models.
