Colette Magny (1926-1997) was not only an exceptional singer, she was also a person of strong character, without concessions vis-à-vis the media and producers. She often sang the hot news, daring to deal with disturbing subjects: racial discrimination, police violence, war or the waste of the consumer society.
Accompanied by Vincent Viala on piano and David Georgelet on drums, this album is undoubtedly a turning point in Lila Tamazit’s career.
