Lil Wayne Opens Up About Collaborating with Eminem and the Fear It Generated

Lil Wayne and Eminem

The first time Lil Wayne and Eminem were on a track together was on Forever from Drake. The song appeared in 2009 and their next joint release was not long in coming. A year later they even dropped two tracks together, viz Drop The World in No Love. While many fans were happy with the collaboration between Lil Wayne and Eminem, reveals Weezy that he did not find it easy to take the lead in this. “I was actually quite scared when I checked Eminem for a track”he says in conversation with The New York Times.

‘Eminem is a monster’

According to Lil Wayne, he and Eminem are very similar. That’s exactly what scared him. “Eminem is a monster. Whenever I heard him rap, I thought: When it comes to words, he’s the same as me.” Weezy explains that neither of them need to make an effort to make things rhyme. “It’s so bad that we just can’t get some things out of our heads. Sometimes that’s a blessing and sometimes that’s a curse. I love how Eminem handles that. He’s one of the best ever.”
