Lil Pump: The Rise to Success and Inspiring Youth with Dyslexia

The next wave of success followed in the same year after the release of the single “Welcome to the Party” in collaboration with Diplo, French Montana and Zhavia Ward, which also became one of the soundtracks of the movie “Deadpool 2”. In 2018, Lil Pump collaborated with a number of musicians – Lil Yachty, Lil Rich, BlocBoy JB, while at the end of the year, the young aspirant released the single “I Love It” together with the American rap superstar Kanye West (currently more than 643 million views on Spotify).

For many, Lil Pump has become a source of inspiration and proof that young people with behavioral and learning difficulties (Lil Pump has admitted to having dyslexia) can also achieve remarkable success. As a child, the musician had no interest in music, but that changed after he was expelled from school in Miami in the 9th grade for a fight with a student. Lil Pump’s “Broke My Wrist,” “D Rose,” and “Elementary” quickly gained acclaim on online streaming sites. Also, the bright, sharp, protesting personality of the musician himself attracted huge attention of social media and young people – Lil Pump became an icon of the youth rap culture of that time.

The musician has released three albums so far.

In total, his videos have been viewed 3.8 billion times on the YouTube platform. The TOP 3 hits on YouTube and Spotify are “Gucci Gang” with 1.4 billion views, “I Love It ft. Kanye West” with 800 million views and “Esskeetit” with 600 million views.

Lil Pump was warmed up in Riga by domestic rap and hip hop genre representatives Prusax, Rolands Che, Steps and Xantikvariāts.
