Jakarta, Selular.ID – The last time Apple updated the iPad Air series with a look that was more in line with the iPad Pro. Now it looks like it will not only share a similar design externally, but could get some upgrades that will make it more like a Pro, that’s what a new report from Macotakara claims. According to the report, they claim that the next iPad Air refresh is expected to come with some of the features of the 11-inch iPad Pro which includes an upgrade to the camera system, wherein the new iPad Air could sport a dual-lens design. Under the hood, the new iPad Air is also rumored to sport the A15 chipset which will most likely debut in the 2021 iPhones.
As mentioned by UberGizmo, there are also those who mention 5G as one of the cellular connectivity options. The report also notes that LiDAR may not be a feature on tablets. Apple debuted LiDAR on the 2020 iPad Pro and newer iPhone 12 models.
Regarding the screen, the latest iPad Air series is equipped with the same OLED screen as the iPhone 11 Pro series. Not only that, this device also gets an increase in the mini-LED panel as well as an increase in the speaker sector.
Broadly speaking, the latest series from the iPad Air is certain to have specifications that are not much different from the iPad Pro series that was introduced previously.
Unfortunately, there is still no information regarding when this new iPad Air series will be introduced by Apple. Some rumors say that the iPad Air may be released along with the new iPhone series from Apple which will be introduced in September 2021.

Previously, the iPad Air 4 was one of the products that Apple released recently that attracted attention, this iPad was the first device with the Apple A14 Bionic chip, and overtook the iPhone 12 and iPad Pro.
On Apple’s official website, the A14 Bionic is Apple’s most advanced chip made using the 5nm fabrication process. This SoC with 11.8 billion transistors has a 6-core CPU and a 4-core GPU. Its performance is claimed to be up to 40% higher than the previous generation. Greg Jowsiak, Apple’s SVP of Worldwide Marketing, said that the much more powerful iPad Air marks the debut of the most powerful chip Apple has ever made.
