“A mega million please!” It is the phrase that has been heard the most in the 5 Borough Market store located on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 39th Street in Sunset Park.

And some have a detailed list of what they would do with that amount of money:
“Solve my problems, pay for my house, help my family. Give money to any organizations that I don’t give much to right now, like children’s hospitals. ASPCA, I like animals, I have a puppy,” Andrés Santiago said.
By noon, more than 400 lottery tickets had already been sold, according to Eehab Abuzahrieh, owner of the shop.
“We talked to them a bit, with customers and well, many have many dreams. Many say no, that they prefer, that if they win it, they would win some charities or that they would give money to people most in need,” said Cecilio Méndez, a worker at 5 Borough Market store.

If a jackpot prize is not claimed within the required time limit, any state participating in the Mega Millions game will receive back any money it contributed to that jackpot.
