PO Kencana has officially released the latest double decker bus for the Jepara-Jakarta route. The body of this bus is made in the Tentrem body with a combination of the chassis made by the European brand Scania. The advantage of this bus is that it has flight attendant services such as in airplane transportation modes.
This PO Kencana double decker bus uses the Tentrem Avante D2 body. From the exterior, this bus uses pink color combined with gray. There is also a touch of graphics with green leaves.
Scroll to the interior, the bus nicknamed ‘Emiliano’ has a pretty interesting layout, where the lower deck is reserved for sleeper classes. In addition, on the ground floor there are also toilet facilities.

Continue to the upper deck, there are conventional passenger seats with a 2-2 seat configuration. Passengers also get facilities in the form of AVOD (Audio Video On Demand) services, and there is a large TV in the front row of seats.
In a video broadcast on the YouTube channel of Mr. Mustofa Chief Beard, it is stated that the ticket price for PO Kencana is Rp. 250 thousand for the sleeper class, while the executive class on the upper deck costs Rp. 200 thousand. For the record, the ticket price is a promo price.
Interestingly, this Kencana PO also has flight attendant services. Just like the identity colors on this bus, the PO Kencana flight attendants also wear uniforms with all-pink colors.
The purpose of the flight attendant is to help the passengers. Starting from welcoming passengers at the bus entrance, asking passengers’ needs, checking passengers, arranging pillows and blankets on seats, to offering food menu choices.
For information, the PO Kencana double decker bus uses the Scania K410iB chassis, which is marketed by United Tractors. On paper, the Scania K410iB is equipped with a 13,000 cc engine, 6-cylinder inline, Turbo charger, Intercooler.
In terms of power output, the bus chassis which has three axles can produce a peak power of 410 hp at 1,900 rpm and a peak torque of 2,000 Nm in the range of 1,000-1,350 rpm.
The PO Kencana double decker bus will be used for the AKAP (Inter-City Inter-Provincial) route to serve the Jepara-Jakarta route. This is certainly good news for bus transportation enthusiasts in the Central Java region, because double decker AKAP buses are still quite rare on this route.
