“Like many coaches, I’m waiting for the spark” • Actufoot • Pro / amateur football news

Since your dismissal from Châteauroux, you declined offers in National (Lyon-Duchère, Créteil) last winter and were announced in the sights of Ligue 2 clubs (Guingamp, Caen, Nancy) at the end of the year 2020-2021. What is your situation today?

I am a coach without a club, attentive and patient. It’s true that it’s starting to take a little while and there are times that are not easy to manage, but I also needed this cut for different reasons. Like many technicians, I’m waiting for the spark.

What type of project could you rock again?

With a lot of transparency and sincerity, it would be something very negative to be certain about this. You have to be attentive whatever the proposed project, so I will listen to all the proposals that will be made to me. I do not want to say : “I absolutely want to be in this championship or another”. I find it unnecessary. When I speak to you about spark, it is, at a given moment, the telephone which rings and a feeling which passes in the conversation. This is something important to me and sometimes it can go really fast.

What could have blocked during the discussions undertaken?

It is not really things that have blocked, there has not really been a proposal. I hesitated on a project but it did not materialize. I cannot reveal the names of the clubs to you out of respect for the coaches in place.

How do you use this free time?

I watch a lot of matches be it Champions League, Ligue 1, Ligue 2, National. I’m also going to see a lot of National 2, National 3. I need that.
