Roy Keane has described Aston Villa and England midfielder Jack Grealish as “like Cristiano Ronaldo” amid ties to a Manchester United signing.
Grealish has been on United’s radar for a long time after impressing Villa since his return to the Premier League. They wanted to sign him last summer, only to see Villa tie him to a contract until 2025. But the Red Devils aren’t giving up on their search.
At the moment, United does not appear to be the favorites to sign Grealish. Instead, there have been a lot of rumors recently about rivals. Manchester City make a move for him.
But one man who would surely rather see him finish in the red half of Manchester is Keane.
Speaking during ITV coverage of England win 1-0 in friendly against Austria, who started Grealish, Keane compared Grealish’s influence to that of five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo.
“He is a player of pure quality,” Keane said. “Every time I see him play, it affects the game.
“It would be very difficult for me to leave him out of the starting eleven. He could be England’s star man, he makes things happen.
“He has courage and he always wants the ball in tight areas. Like Cristiano Ronaldo in Portugal, you need players like that on your team. It is outstanding «.

Grealish prefers the movement of the city
United may face disappointment in the race to sign Grealish, as it recently emerged that his preference is the city.
Athletic reporter Sam Lee said that those close to Grealish’s situation believe that this is the most attractive transfer option. He says he’s been won over by the lure of regular Champions League football and the challenge for the game’s biggest prizes.
Furthermore, Pep Guardiola is a huge fan of Grealish and qualifies him as one of the outstanding stars of the Premier League.
Athletic believes that Villa is not actively looking to sell. However, they claim that a move can be forced if Grealish pursues it.
The report also raises the possibility of City offering Villa a couple of their players in exchange for a partial trade.
