Like Apple, Tesla breaks records despite a sluggish market

Tesla and Apple have unprecedented production capabilities in common while the whole industry is suffering from the crisis, and in particular from the lack of semiconductors. For the 1st quarter of 2022, the manufacturer is reached to provide 310,000 vehicles, a record for the brand while one of its main factories (in China) had to close twice in recent weeks, following Covid epidemics in Shanghai. The previous record (Q4 2021) stood at 308,000 units and yet seemed unattainable. Over one year (YoY), growth is 69%! Something to make some people think specialists (we will not quote the last Vilebrequin video…) who often believe that Tesla’s valuation is a pure financial bubble and that Elon Musk’s firm has no no future. The latter also manages to sell almost all the models produced, which is not always the case elsewhere.
