Like a stock of supplies – letters to the editor

On: “The many reforms are causing more unrest”, Interview by Axel Habermehl with Doro Moritz (Politics, October 23)

In the interview it becomes clear what the so-called education union GEW envisions as education: a quantity of supplies such as water, sunlight or money – apparently in abundance, just unevenly distributed. “Learning together for longer” then serves the purpose of getting to the root of the problem and ensuring the necessary redistribution of the offspring. If this approach had anything to do with education, the professionals at SC Freiburg would train with the amateurs from the district B league. And so it fits into the picture that Ms. Moritz has just declared the former Minister of Education Stoch to be her favorite: During his tenure, student performance fell to a previously unknown low.
