With the tightening of the release schedule for large-scale RPGs, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find time, but the developers from the Japanese Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio do not care: the upcoming Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be the longest game in the series.
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio head Masayoshi Yokoyama in a recent interview with the publication Automaton mentioned that Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will release “infinity” on “a whole new level”.
According to Yokoyama, Infinite Wealth is much larger than Yakuza: Like a Dragon. The main story is long, the side content is plentiful, and if you try to complete everything, the game “may seem endless”.
“If you want to go through only the main story of Infinite Wealth, then it will take 3-4 days (that is, from 72 to 96 hours – approx.) of continuous play. No sleep, absences and almost no side stories.”– Yokoyama scares.
The developer advises approaching Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth like watching a drama series: two or three hours a day “to avoid possible damage to health».
Yokoyama also clarified that the team has no plans to add Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth to Game Pass, as was the case with Like a Dragon Gaiden. The game is already on sale “pretty good” and may break the record for the number of pre-orders.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is expected to release on January 26, 2024 on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. A special demo of the game is included with Like a Dragon Gaiden.
