HELSINKI. Slovak hockey striker Juraj Slafkovský shot in the third match in a row in Finland’s highest competition. On Wednesday, he contributed to the triumph of TPS Turku on the ice of Jukurita Mikkeli 3: 1.
The second formation opened the duel in the 18th minute, when he benefited from a good attack by his teammates. Jack Rodewald served him the puck in front of the goal and the lone Slafkovský confirmed his canonical qualities.

There were even a pair of fans with the Slovak flag in the stands, who were very happy with the goal of the Košice native. It was his fourth goal of the season.

Slafkovský showed excellent performances at the Olympic Games 2022, where he was the best scorer and also won the prize for the most useful player. There, too, he managed to score a goal in three matches in the series – he scored against Finland, Sweden and Latvia.
TPS is pulling the three-match winning line and is in 5th place in the table. It is thus held in the top six, which means a direct advance to the quarterfinal playoffs. Turku will play two more meetings by the end of the basic part.
