(ANSA) – GENOA, APRIL 07 – The recovery of the autonomy of women victims of gender violence also involves new job opportunities. Thus the Liguria Region has allocated a fund of 110 thousand euros to grant contributions aimed at supporting the job placement of women in the care of accredited anti-violence centers or local social services. The recipients of the incentive are the employers. Hiring must take place through the types of contracts envisaged by the measure: permanent contract, also for the purpose of administration, fixed-term contract, also for the purpose of administration, the duration of which is initially expected to be for a period equal to or greater than 3 months (then the employer will be able to obtain other incentives for a maximum of 12 months in the event of transformation of the employment relationship into a permanent contract), internship, the duration of which is initially expected to be for a period equal to or greater than 3 months (the subsequent possible transformation into a permanent contract will allow you to take advantage of the benefit for a maximum of 12 months in total). “The work helps women who have suffered violence to take back control of their lives – explains the councilor for Equal Opportunities of the Liguria Region Simona Ferro. – Gender violence does not manifest itself only with physical and verbal aggression, but also in forms more subtle. In November we organized the first public conference on the topic of economic violence, a form of abuse exercised through the control of economic resources, which can also lead to the exclusion of the victim from the world of work. The lack of economic independence is one of the main factors that hinder the exit from pre-existing situations of domestic violence. We want to respond to these difficulties through a contribution that facilitates the insertion or reintegration of women into work in a virtuous path that can restore their autonomy, independence and self-esteem. Liguria Region has already made itself available to implement and facilitate communications between anti-violence centers and employer organisations, a necessary step to achieve actual hiring”. The allowances provided for employers are: up to 900 euros for a full-time fixed-term contract lasting 3 months, up to 2000 euros for a full-time fixed-term contract lasting 3 to 6 months, up to 4000 euros for a full-time fixed-term contract from 6 to 12 months, 6000 euros for a full-time permanent contract. The allowance will be reduced by half in the case of a part-time contract. (HANDLE).
