A forgotten penalty on Sylvestre (52nd) and the combined exclusions of the latter and Kouassi (55th) just before the hour mark remained in effect across the throat of the Palois. These events led to a certain frustration which may seem legitimate as the Béarnais, even if they were trailing (1-2) at that time of the game, had been able to put themselves at the level of a very good Auxerroise team, at the fight for the rise in Ligue 1.
