Due to the rains that have been falling on the Pink City for several days, the meeting between the TFC and Nancy, scheduled for Monday January 10 at 8:45 p.m., is postponed, the club announces in a press release.
“The Mayor of Toulouse, on the recommendation of the Directorate of Civil Security and Major Risks of Toulouse, has decided to postpone the match to a later date” writes the TFC in a press release. The measure was taken as a precaution, in view of the significant current flooding of the Garonne.
“From 3.60m, the road accesses are flooded” specifies Jonnhy Dunal, municipal councilor in charge of civil security at the town hall of Toulouse joined by The Dispatch. “However, a peak at 3.80m is expected this Monday around 11 p.m., i.e. the time of exit from the Stadium, where 5,000 spectators were expected. The largest peak is expected Tuesday morning around 8 a.m. Tonight, the Barrière casino located on the island will close at 8:00 p.m. “
Understand: the accesses leading to the Ile du Ramier will be flooded in the evening due to the Garonne in flood. Holding TFC – Nancy was impossible.
The meeting will not be held this week
For the time being, no postponement date has been communicated but according to our information, the meeting will not be held tomorrow Tuesday 11, nor the day after tomorrow Wednesday 12 January.
Tickets purchased for the match remain valid.

Still on Twitter, the Toulouse president explains that he “received instructions to evacuate the Stadium before 6 p.m.” confirming that the meeting would not be held tomorrow, Tuesday, January 11.
