Ligue 1 – Rennes
According to information from Ouest-France, Grégory Coupet could become the goalkeeper coach of Stade Rennais next season.
Still under contract for another year with the DFCO, Coupet (48) could leave the Dijon club in the event of relegation to Ligue 2 at the end of the 2020-21 financial year. However, after twenty-eight days of L1, Dijon is red lantern with nine lengths behind Nantes (19th). Between ambition and economic necessity for the club of President Olivier Delcourt, Grégory Coupet could go elsewhere and according to Ouest-France, he was approached by Rennes to lead the goalkeepers for the next season.

A trio of former Lyonnais Genesio-Maurice-Coupet?
Coupet, who kept the goal of the France team thirty-four times, would then find two former Lyonnais. Bruno Genesio, first of all, who has just been appointed coach until June 2023 of the Breton club, with whom the former last rampart worked for a year at OL (2018-2019). Goalkeeper of Olympique Lyonnais 519 times, Coupet would also find technical director Florian Maurice, former sports director of the Rhone club. Note that the two men had not been able to evolve on the field together at OL, Coupet disembarking in 1997 at the very moment of the departure of the former striker for PSG.
