Olympique Lyonnais once again falls into its traps. In a match largely dominated by the Rhodaniens, it was finally Stade Brestois who won on their lawn (2-1). A defeat which buries a little more the hopes of the club of Jean-Michel Aulas to join Europe for next season.

Lyon has therefore once again fallen in the league. The fault of an opportunistic Brest team. In a match that was in favor of the Lyonnais for a long period, it was the Bretons, well grouped together defensively and protected by an excellent Marco Bizot, who won.
From the start, OL had nevertheless confiscated the ball. Despite 79% possession in the first quarter of an hour, Peter Bosz’s men failed to prove dangerous. Even with numerous calls from Moussa Dembélé and a very good game from new Brazilian signing Tete, Lyon skated.
Authors of numerous counter-attacks, the Brestois obtained a few opportunities. It was finally Steve Mounié who scored the first goal of this meeting on a penalty obtained after a handball from Castello Lukeba (1-0, 27th). After this goal conceded, Lyon struggled to restart before half-time.
Bizot at the top
New aggressive back from the break, the Lyonnais pushed. Dembélé got many chances with magnificent calls, however, constantly stumbling over Bizot. The Rhone striker finally managed to deceive the Brest goalkeeper to score his 11th goal in 2022 (1-1, 72nd).
Opportunistic, Brest immediately tried to react. On a corner kick taken by Julien Faussurier, Irvin Cardona perfectly took the ball with his head at the near post and scored the second Brest goal (2-1, 74th). Timo Kadewere could have equalized in the last seconds on a recovery just in front of the goal but it was finally missed (90 + 3rd). Beaten, once again, OL probably finished dreaming this Wednesday;
