LYON – PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN 1-1:
It looked like a long time to end in a loss when star-studded PSG lined up for an away match against rival Lyon in the League on Sunday night.
But as so often before this season, France’s superb top team managed to strike back after a weak start.
Lucas Plaquetá arranged the lead for Lyon at Groupama Stadium, just as he did when the teams met at the Parc des Princes earlier in the season.
But one goal was not enough for a long-awaited three points for Peter Bosz’s team this time either.

PSG substitute Thilo Kehrer did not hit very well when he set foot on a ball that came from the opposite side in the 76th minute. It was 1-1 anyway, as Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes did not hit the ball properly when he tried to parry with his foot.
– You’ll take Anthony Lopes. It’s weak. The shot goes straight at the Lyon goalkeeper, commented Robin Haugen in the broadcast to Direktesport.
Kehrer’s pass came from another player who had entered the pitch just seven minutes earlier, namely the young midfield talent Édouard Michut (18).

Relax with the fear
There was little to say that PSG got an equalizer there and then, but the Parisians could actually get a new goal against just a few seconds in advance.
Georginio Wijnaldum gave away the ball easily in his own half, and gave Lyon and Plaquetá substitute Rayan Cherki (18) a golden opportunity to put 2-0 for the hosts.
– Look at Wijnaldum. He has had a terrible match today, the Dutchman, Haugen remarked about the situation.

Wijnaldum struggled to make a mark on the PSG team on an evening where heavy names such as Lionel Messi, Neymar and Ángel Di María were only a small part of the players missing.
A few minutes after 1-1, Kylian Mbappé was eerily close to a winning goal at the other end of the field. The occasion was a free kick from an angle just outside the Lyon field. The attempt from the superstar thundered into the post and out behind Lopes.
The young boy Cherki also got his chances to get Lyon a winning goal, but the 18-year-old did not succeed either.
Brazilian dance
Plaquetá was thus the man behind the lead goal early in the match. The Brazilian striker hammered the ball into the far corner behind PSG cage keeper Keylor Navas.
– Simply worth taking a dance after that. Right down in the corner from Lyons number 10, their talisman this season, commentator Robin Haugen described.
The ironed pass in front came from compatriot Bruno Guimarães.
Even though Lyon stayed ahead for a long time, it did not hold up to victory on Sunday either. The PSG settlement thus became the home team’s fifth straight Ligue 1 match without a win.
At the top of the table, Paris Saint-Germain is eleven points ahead of nearest rival Nice.
Lyon is, disappointingly enough, still in the bottom half with 24 points up to the lead.
