Ligue 1, Ligue 2, Top 14 and ProD2 teams this summer at Chambon-sur-Lignon

Le Chambon-sur-Lignon, thanks to the hotel Le Bel’Ô, service providers and its sports facilities, will host nine first and second division football, rugby and handball teams between the end of June and the end of August.

Le Chambon, champion altitude. This summer, as has been the case since 1998, top athletes will follow one another on the Haut-Lignon to train and enjoy outdoor activities (mountain biking, quad biking, golf, fishing).

A friendly Clermont-Troyes on July 3

Under the aegis of Guillaume Chazot, the owner of the Bel’Ô hotel-restaurant (a partnership has also been established with the Hôtel de la Plage to accommodate large delegations), several professional clubs will come to Haute-Loire. as part of their preparations for the 2021-2022 season. Most of the teams or coaches have already come to Le Chambon. Their return is a guarantee of satisfaction … or superstitution after a successful exercise. This could be the case for Troyes and Clermont, promoted to Ligue 1 football after a stint at Chambon.

The two teams will also face each other in a friendly match, as in 2020. It will be Saturday July 3 at 6.30 pm. The proceeds from the refreshment bar and starters will go to the local club of Mazet-Chambon.

Marco Simone, trainer … and golfer

Grenoble, barrage in Ligue 2, will come for the third time. SC Toulon (National 2) and its sports director Jean Tigana, have signed an internship at Chambon. Marco Simone, who already came with Tours, will be back with Chateauroux, who is going down in National, and intends to return to the professional championship. He is also a great golf player and has a golf course to suit him at the Moonstone.

Three rugby teams

Nevers, Pro D2 rugby team, will be at Chambon for the first time. Their rapprochement with Chambon was made through Coenraad Basson, second line passed through LOU Rugby and who knew Chambon during training.

LOU Rugby will also be there in early August. And another rugby team, that of Bourgoin-Jallieu who has just found Pascal Papé in the role of sports director. Le Chambon, he came there in 2011 with the XV of France.

And a world champion in hand

Lots of football and rugby … and hand with Nîmes which plays in D1 and which has a world champion in the person of the left winger Michaël Guigou who has just extended in the Gard.
