The Paris St. Germain players suffered their first defeat this season in France’s top competition. In Sunday’s success of the 17th round of Ligue 1, the defending champion and field leader of the second-placed team Racing Lens lost 1:3. Just four points separate the two teams.

PSG started without a couple of attacking leaders. Monaco moved up to fourth in the incomplete table ahead of Rennes after a 1-0 win over Brest set up by Russian midfielder Aleksandr Golovin.
Clermont grabbed three league points for the first time since 9 October after beating Olympique Lyon 1-0 in the regional derby. In the end, Muhammed Cham opted to grab three points for the visitors from the eleven. Thanks to the triumph, Clermont moved up to 9th place, Lyon is eighth.
