In Pixar’s first offshoot film, “Lightyear”, we get to see some of the characters familiar from “Toy Story”, but also some brand new ones.
The official trailer that came Tuesday night shows as expected the” human ” version of Buzz Lightyear.
The character has previously caused controversy because some fans of the original “Toy Story”franchise reacted to the fact that this variation of Buzz, among other things, had hair and looked more like a human than an action figure.

This new animated film that has planned Norway premiere 17. June, is meant to be the movie “Toy Story”-Andy sees that makes him want Buzz Lightyear character for his birthday-Buzz’s origin story.
‘I wanted to see that movie, and now I’m allowed to make it,’ Director Angus MacLane said in a statement.
Captain America as Buzz
Chris Evans, formerly known as Captain America, is The Voice of Buzz. Uzo Aduba and James Brolin lend their voices to other beings.
Tuesday came according to The Wrap the news that Taika Waititi, Keke Palmer and Dale Soules play space guardians in the film – and that Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino is responsible for the music. He has previously made the music for ” up “and”Spider-Man: No Way Home”.
As is known, Buzz Lightyear in “Toy Story” is an action figure with a name inspired by astronaut Buzz Aldrin who was the second person in the world to walk on the moon. “Toy Story” -Buzz believes he is a real space ranger on a mission in the Galaxy and in battle against evil Zurg. Now we’ll find out what happened to the real Buzz.

In the trailer we see several massive robots, and the outline of a giant figure reminiscent of the drawings of Zurg in the original. The Wrap predicts that James Brolin has the voice of Zurg, but we don’t hear it in the trailer. Screen Rant the character in the trailer is a redesigned Zurg.
Another figure that is revealed in more detail is the cat robot Sox. The Sox appears to be Buzz’s personal assistant who also helps him fall asleep.
Otherwise, we’ll see more of what we saw in the teaser clip that came in October: glimpses of aliens, the technology at the Control Center, Buzz’s spaceship and the use of David Bowie’s song “Starman”.
So far, we don’t know if “Lightyear” will be in theaters first, or will be released on Disney+ at the same time.
