Lightning Strikes In Switzerland: Four People Injured, Helicopter Aid Workers Unharmed

Four people were struck by lightning in Switzerland on Friday. The first two were working in a field when they were hit. Subsequently, the rushed aid workers were also the victims, the media in the country report.

Only the first two people were injured in the incidents in Ménières, a municipality in the western canton of Friborg. According to Swiss media, it concerns a 51-year-old man and a sixteen-year-old boy. The oldest victim is said to be seriously injured.

The rushed agent and pilot of the trauma helicopter with which they wanted to help the two victims were not injured. They were checked by doctors on site.

Due to the second lightning strike, the 51-year-old man and the sixteen-year-old boy were not taken to hospital by helicopter, but by ambulance.
