Lightning strike at Bellizzi’s tobacconist, gang hunt

A tobacco shop is once again targeted by thieves Bellizzi. Last night, in fact, a gang specialized in these attacks managed to carry out a robbery several thousand euros at the tobacconist in Via Roma. They arrived on site in a black station wagon. To get inside they first severed the shutter with the flex and shattered the window. The alarm did not go off and with it the fog alarm wanted by the owner of the family business – originally from Battipaglia – of the well-known commercial business.

Devices that were not enough to dissuade the thieves from carrying out the heist. Accomplished in just over a minute, as evidenced by the images recorded by the cameras of the video surveillance system. They broke the window positioned near the counterthen they raided hundreds of packs of cigarettes and cash contained in the till. The damage caused to the owners of the historic tobacco shop, which is usually also open on Sundays, was quite extensive. «But we couldn’t get the store back on track in time for our customers. We will raise the shutter on Monday (today for those reading, ed.), trying to resume our work with the smile that has always distinguished us. It won’t be easy, but life forces us to move forward», commented the owner of the business.
