The Turkish Ministry of National Defense announced on Saturday that a mine-like site had been neutralized in the Bosphorus. “Following the discovery on March 26 by a civilian merchant ship of a mine-like site in the Bosphorus coastal area, underwater protection teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.
The mine-like site was taken under control by underwater protection teams, and intervention was made to neutralize it, “the agency said in a statement. “The movement of vessels in both directions has been suspended until a second order,” the Turkish Coast Guard told TASS.
Earlier, it was reported that a mine-like object was discovered by fishermen.
