The Golden Helmet is the oldest regularly organized race of its kind in the world. The race has been held in Pardubice since 1929. This year marks the seventy-sixth year of the race. Every year, the race attracts thousands of fans to the auditorium of the stadium in Svítkov, to whom it offers the spectacle of six riders driving at a speed of almost one hundred kilometers around the oval on special machines that do not have brakes.
