Light Science secures £134,000 order for sports shows

Light Science Technologies Holdings PLC – A supplier of agricultural lighting and monitoring systems based in Derbyshire, England – Contract Electronics Manufacturing division receives a third order from its sports entertainment customer, worth £134,000. The order will be completed this year. “The customer currently has 14 entertainment venues in the US, four venues in the UK, and is expanding rapidly with eight new venues under construction in the US,” Light Science said. The company sees continued revenue growth potential from orders for new venues and spare parts. It said that since the first sports entertainment order in February, it has received total orders for 15,000 units, generating over £400,000 in revenue.

Managing Director, Simon Deacon, said: “I am delighted with the continued momentum of the CEM division and the group as a whole. Importantly, we are building long-term relationships with international clients who have the capacity to support repeat business opportunities, which we are confident will translate into increased visibility as we continue to convert our strong pipeline of listed sales.

“The group has really turned a corner this year across all sectors of the market, and we are seeing many of the changes we have made starting to deliver positive results. In the CEM sector in particular, we have invested strategically in our ability to take on larger and more meaningful contracts, enabling us to capitalise on the post-Covid move away from manufacturing in the Far East.”
