Mexico City. The Liga Mx confirmed the dates and times of the two-legged quarterfinals. The four series with the eight best classified in the regular phase will begin in the middle of the week and on Sunday they will define the winners.
Guadalajara and Toluca will open the curtain at the Akron stadium (7:05 p.m.) and, later, Pachuca and América will meet again (9:16 p.m.) a week after the semifinals of the Concacaf Champions Cup, in which the Tuzos won in the global.
On Thursday, Pumas-Cruz Azul (7 p.m.) and Tigres Monterrey (9:10 p.m.), in another edition of the Monterrey classic in the league, will close the first leg games at the Olympic stadium and the University stadium in Nuevo León, respectively.
“There are no favorites. In any of the games that are going to be played, anyone can win,” says the captain of the UNAM team, Lisandro Magallán. “It would not be the first time, nor the last, that the team that enters through the Play-in ends up playing in the final.”
The return matches will begin on Saturday at the Azteca stadium, with América-Pachuca (6:00 p.m.), and will continue at the Nemesio Díez with Toluca-Chivas (8:10 p.m.). On Sunday, Cruz Azul will host Pumas in the Nochebuena neighborhood (7:00 p.m.) and Rayados will close this round in the so-called Steel Giant against Tigres (9:10 p.m.).
