MEXICO CITY (open).- Following the presentation of the “El cartel del goal” report in the morning conference by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, both the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) and Liga MX shared a statement to publicize the actions they , together with the government of Mexico, were created to “strengthen best practices in terms of security, financial fair play and transparency”.
In this same sense, Ricardo Mejía Berdeja, Undersecretary of Public Security, highlighted that since 2019 an agreement has been signed between the FIU (Financial Intelligence Unit) belonging to the SAT (Tax Administration Service), with the FMF, to prevent money laundering, as well as other programs to ensure stadium safety.
Through its official page, Liga MX has established those points that have worked to improve everything related to national football.

In the morning, López Obrador acknowledged that in the possible irregularities within the Mexican football business, “there are practically no investigations into tax fraud, because the decision has been made to ban the tax amnesty”.
