The League closes 2022 with a bang, with three crackling derbies while waiting for the New Year’s Eve dinner and to toast to 2023.
The last one of the year in Barcelona is the most important. At the Camp Nou they face each other Barcelona and Espanyol in a derby that is never banal. Between blaugrana and parakeets ends in a draw, with goals by Mark Alonso (who becomes the second of his family to score in the blanquiazules deby, after his father) e Joseluon a penalty caused by Marcos Alonso himself. At the end one expulsion for each side: first Jordi Alba, then Vincius Souza. After more than 10 of added time it ends 1-1. Barça ends the year at the top of the standings, but hooked by Real Madrid. Espanyol rises to fifth from last place.
It’s not exactly a derby, the one between Real Sociedad and Osasuna the rivalry is still strong given the geographical proximity between Basques and Navarres. Even the ranking helps to increase the importance of the match: both are in fact fighting for a place in Europe, separated by only 3 points. But that is it of the Valencian Communitybetween the Villarreal by Quique Setién and the Valencia by Rino Gattusoboth looking for precious points in a European key and 2 points away from each other, respectively in ninth and tenth place. Both matches are scheduled for 4.15pm.
