Lifting the travel quarantine for vaccinated people? There should be decisions soon | Switzerland

SWITZERLAND [NEWS SERVICE] ⋅ Topless in the pool is a step further: the conference of cantonal health directors welcomes the possibility of mask-free zones in the pool. Further decisions are also pending in terms of travel quarantine for vaccinated people.

(mg) The Conference of Cantonal Health Directors (GDK) welcomes the changes in various Covid-19 ordinances. That emerges from a statement published on Tuesday. Among other things, this means that zones can be defined in Badis in which no masks have to be worn. The waiver of quarantine for those who have recovered is also to be extended from three to six months.

As can be seen from the statement, a controversial question will soon also be submitted for consultation: the waiver of travel quarantine for vaccinated people. “Adjustments to the ordinance in the area of international passenger traffic” were promised to the GDK by the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG) at the end of May. Among other things, it is about the “question of lifting the travel quarantine for vaccinated people”.

Meanwhile, in its statement, the GDK criticizes the short intervals between the consultations: The current rhythm of consultations is “putting a heavy strain on the cantons’ resources”.
