Til made the switch from AZ to Spartak Moscow two years ago. After playing in Russia for a year, he moved to SC Freiburg on loan. “I was abroad for two years and corona has completely fucked me up mentally. In recent years I have never been to the Netherlands once, only abroad. All restaurants closed, sitting alone at home training…”, says the 23-year-old. birthday playmaker in the Youtube program With Andy in the car.
“Do you also have those krauts”, Til laughs. “That doesn’t make you happy either. They don’t have a sense of humor boy, boy. In the end I was glad I got out of there. I’m just being honest, right? (…) I also missed family and friends and stuff. Even with corona, you really can’t imagine that. Those walls are coming at you.”
At Feyenoord, Til wants to breathe new life into his career. “I really have the urge to succeed. I first want to perform here for another year and then try again, I think. We’ll see. You don’t know how it will go after a year,” said the single Orange -international, who is rented by Feyenoord for one season from Spartak Moscow.
