According to the information obtained, Figen Karadag and his son Mert Karadag came to Kars from Istanbul to buy a house a while ago. 8 days ago, in the Şehitler Mahallesi, no news was heard from the mother looking after the house and her son.
Upon notification of the situation, a special team was established by the Provincial Police Department to find the mother and son and the work started.
As a result of the studies, a lifeless body was found in the well next to the irrigation canal near Cumhuriyet village, one woman and two people.
Many gendarme and police teams, as well as health, AFAD and firefighters were dispatched to the scene. Prosecutors including Kars Chief Public Prosecutor Soner Aygün came to the scene. Provincial Police Director Yavuz Sağdıç also came to the region and made investigations.
As a result of the examination of the security forces, it was determined that the dead bodies in the well belong to Figen and Mert Karadağ.
It was learned that the mother and her son were shot dead with a rifle.

It was learned that M.S, who admitted that he had committed the murder in his interrogation, went to the Land Registry Office to exchange houses with the victims.
In the search made in the Cumhuriyet village by the police teams, some money was seized with the rifle committed in the murder.
