Life Sentenced Murderer Captured in Uzbekistan After 12-Year Manhunt

36-year-old Iliyan Todorov, who was sentenced by the Supreme Court of Cassation to life imprisonment for the double murder in front of the Solo disco, but escaped and was hiding from justice, is currently in prison in Uzbekistan.

Todorov was captured at Tashkent airport in March after a 12-year manhunt. Even then, the prosecutor’s office sent a request for his extradition, which was more than 200 pages long.

He was brought before the court in Tashkent, where he was sentenced to 5 years and 1 month in prison for a documented crime. This is the fake ID with which he was caught trying to leave the country and fly to Istanbul, it says dir.bg.

If Todorov serves his entire sentence there, he will be returned to us in 2028 at the latest, but maybe earlier.
