The TikTok influencer Mahek Bukhari (24) and his mother Ansreen Bukhari (46) have been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of two people, write a number of British media, including Sky News.
The court in Leicester believes that mother and daughter are guilty of killing Saqib Hussain (21) and his friend Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin (21) in a car chase in February 2022.
The two 21-year-olds died when the car they were driving caught fire near Leicester in the early hours of February 11 last year. Afterwards they crashed into a tree.

“Help us!”
Shortly before they died, the friend called the police and told them that they were being chased by two cars. The people in the cars were wearing balaclavas, and they must have experienced being attacked, according to Sky News.
“They are trying to force us out of the way. Please help us, I’m going to die,” he is said to have said on the phone.
Soon after, there was a loud scream, before the conversation was interrupted.

– Cold-blooded murders
According to Sky News, Hussain allegedly threatened to reveal an affair he had had with Ansreen Bukhari.
According to the court, he and his friend were ambushed after he threatened to publish a sex video as proof of the affair.
Mother and daughter denied guilt, but were not believed in court.
Sudden death: Under investigation
Two other people who helped carry out the murders have also been sentenced to life in prison.
Police in Leicestershire describe the murders as cold-blooded.
– This was a cold-blooded attack that ultimately cost two men their lives, says chief investigator Mark Parish, and continues:
