Life sentence for murder of teacher in London | Abroad

Sabina Nessa was brutally murdered as she walked from her home to a cafe in the British capital. Her walking route of about 5 minutes went through a park. The 36-year-old Albanian Koci Selamaj attacked her from behind. Nessa’s body was found the next day.

Selamaj pleaded guilty during the trial. He must serve at least 36 years of his prison sentence. According to the accuser, there was a sexual motive, writes the broadcaster Sky News, despite there is no evidence that Nessa was also the victim of a sexual offense.

Last year commemorations for Nessa were held in several places in the United Kingdom. The woman died six months after 33-year-old Sarah Everard. She was also walking the streets alone in London when she was killed. A police officer has been sentenced to life in prison for her murder. The murders attracted a lot of attention worldwide.
