It can get very hot in no time in a fully enclosed car, especially when it’s almost 40 degrees Celsius outside, like in Texas this week. Last year, RTL News reporter Laura Veneman showed how quickly the temperature in the car rises:
Within 10 minutes the temperature in a car can rise by 20 degrees and it becomes dangerous. Especially for children: their body temperature rises three to five times faster than in adults. When the body temperature rises above 41 degrees, organs can failwarns the American organization SafeKids.

So the father in Texas had to act very quickly to save his baby. A bystander filmed what happened in the parking lot near the town of Harlingen in the south of the US state of Texas. The windshield is hit hard with various objects, as can be seen in the video:
