New York, Paris, London A young reporter falls around the neck of everyone she sees. “It’s so nice to see you all again,” she says. Hundreds of festively dressed people crowd the Brewery in London’s financial district. The Headline Money Awards will be presented and most of the media and PR people present will meet for the first time in a year and a half. The masks are gone, the inhibitions too. The champagne flows from magnum bottles. People laugh, drink, celebrate.

The City of London is coming back to life – after several unsuccessful attempts, this time it really seems to work. The signs of normality are obvious. The trains are packed in rush hour and the masses of pedestrians pour over the Thames bridges. In the afternoon, the familiar groups form in front of the pubs, the bankers drink their beer after work.
