Life on Mars is possible but only for four years

A human expedition to Mars has long been on the radar of space explorers. However, US scientists say that people who settle on Mars can only stay for four years, and if they spend more time, the environment will become unsafe in terms of radiation.

According to the Daily Mail’s report, scientists were talking about two years ago that humans could reproduce on the Red Planet, as sperm can survive for up to 200 years on Mars.

However, it now seems that these hopes may be short-lived, as experts recommend that people spend no more than four years on any mission on the planet.

THE AMOUNT OF RADIATION IS RISING

In the findings, published in the Advancing Earth and Science Journal, “We estimate that a potential mission to Mars should not exceed about four years. “This study demonstrates that space radiation poses strict limitations for human mission to Mars and presents technological challenges.”

Other research led by the University of California UCLA team in the US has found that a spacecraft traveling to and from Mars must provide adequate protection during the round trip.

However, if the material the spacecraft is made of is too thick, it can actually increase the amount of secondary radiation as well.

Another finding included the best time to leave Earth when Solar activity was at its peak. The reason for this was explained as the “solar maximum” being at the least dangerous level.
