Gökhan Baran (27), who had a large part of his body burning in the electric transformer he entered while playing with his friends in 2005, was treated in various hospitals. Gökhan Baran caught the attention of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who came to Konya for a school opening in 2006. Baran’s body, which underwent regular operations with the instructions regarding Erdogan’s treatment, has returned to normal significantly.
Explaining that the treatment process was initiated by President Erdogan, Gökhan Baran said, “When I was 11 years old, I had a high current of 40 thousand volts in the electrical transformer. After I had an accident, I was discharged 3 months after the hospital where I was treated. I could not speak, I could not use my arms. I was unable to get my treatment because the treatment fees were too high at that time. Our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was the prime minister at that time. When he came to a school opening in Konya, he saw me by chance, and I had the opportunity to meet with him. I also told him that the economic situation of my family was not enough for the treatments and said, ‘Would you have my treatment?’ I said, I do not want to be missing from other children, I want to continue with my school. Actually, the wife of our first President, Ms. Emine, noticed me, they both talked together.
‘I AM GRANT OF OUR REPUBLIC’
Explaining that he has had nearly 50 surgeries so far, Gökhan Baran said:
“When I go home, my family asked me, ‘Will the Kosovo Prime Minister follow you on his busy agenda?’ After half an hour, our door was knocked. The advisors received my information and said that my treatment would be started as soon as possible. On that day we were very happy with the family. I started treatment in Gülhane Military Medical Academy (GATA) in 2005. I can speak, I can see, I hold my hands and feet. I have no difference from a normal individual. But I went through very difficult processes. Each of the 50 surgeries took 15-20 hours. I am very grateful to our President. he was following, he was constantly asking. May Allah not make him missing us. I am a child who is delighted with him who is happy with him. “

Saying that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has gained his health thanks to his instructions and that his biggest dream is to visit him, Gökhan Baran said, “My biggest dream is to thank our President in the Complex and present my gratitude. I hope this dream will come true. After I had the accident, my psychology was not good. My peers were going to school, I could not go. I could not go out, I could not play with my friends. There was a timidity in terms of society. My morale was fulfilled when I started using it. It is also because I am a little bit of peace with life, I have never lost my hope. Whenever I fall into space, I get rid of it. I tried to collect myself in this way with the thought of God’s favorite servant. Thank goodness I don’t have any trouble now. “
