Both singer and songwriter, Danyel Gérard was one of the pioneers of French rock of the 60s and 70s. The man who turns 82 on March 7, 2021 began his career in music since 1958 and had his greatest success with his track “Petit Gonzales” in 1962.

Danyel Gérard was so fond of wearing his leather rocker clothes and especially his traditional hat to which he cared so much. A look commented on by the late and unforgettable Coluche through a little spicy joke.
“Danyel Gérard had the choice between Bob Dylan’s hat and talent. And he chose what? The Hat”,

THE RETURN OF A ROCK PIONEER
After a few years of silence, Danyel Gérard returns to our screens on the occasion of “Tender Age and Wood Heads” in 2008. A tour that gathered more than a million fans.
Outfit in leather and traditional hat, it was always in his rocker skin that the artist seduced thousands of spectators.
In March 2013, the interpreter of “Petit Gonzales” reappears in a 45 second clip compiling four of his songs, for the “Tender Age” tour.
