The man who Saturday evening December 4th near the checkpoint at Pikien Saron in the district of Para, was arrested with a large amount of cocaine, is Lieutenant Steven J. (56). The man who is also a member of DNV was arrested with more than 500 kg of cocaine. An amount of approximately $10,000 in cash was also found and seized in the vehicle he was driving.
The suspect arriving from the Goliath area, turned his vehicle on the road upon seeing a roadblock on the way to Pikin Saron. The members of the Regional Assistance Team Midden (RBTM) then started the pursuit, during which the vehicle was jammed. During a general check-up, the large amount of cocaine with an estimated weight of more than 500 kg was found.
It is suspected that the cargo of drugs came from a so-called dropping.
