Lies of P Director Reveals DLC Concept Art and Confirms Sequel: Updates and News

Lies of P had a video released by its director, Ji Won Choi, in which he thanked fans for their reception of the game and commented on future news. During the statement, Ji spoke about the Pinocchio “soulslike” DLC and its updates, in addition to confirming a sequel. Regarding the expansion, two new concept arts were revealed that show the protagonist on board a ship.

Finally, the director also thanked the more than 1 million units sold of Lies of P, a high number considering that the game is available at no extra cost to Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Check out what was announced below.

According to the director, the team’s biggest priority is to produce the DLC and the game’s sequel, a likely “Lies of P 2” – possibly with a new protagonist. Currently, Korean developer Neowiz Games is hiring developers to help create the expansion, of which, according to Ji Won Choi, the images shown “are just the tip of the iceberg.” The studio is also planning to release a soundtrack with more than 60 songs, as well as crossover content with Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, a game that has already received the Puppet’s Saber and Etiquette weapons from Lies of P.

In November, Lies of P will receive a new update that will make starting the game a little easier. With this, players will have access to improved stats, 2 extra Quartz in the Polendia store to strengthen their character and the Rising Dodge ability will be unlocked from the start. There will also be a new balance of weapons through the Weapon Assemble mechanic, useful when improving some weapons.

It was also announced that users will receive an Alidoro character outfit and his iconic mask as a form of thanks for the game’s success. Furthermore, Pinocchio will gain a new space for facial customization, which will allow him to wear hats and glasses at the same time, something that was not possible before. Finally, new accessories will be added such as the Alchemist’s Hat and a new pair of glasses.

Regardless of the conclusion reached by the player, the final scenes show a possible shared universe of fables. The story of Lies of P, as a dark reimagining of Pinocchio, would connect with the classic The Wizard of Oz, indicating that a possible protagonist of the new game would be Dorothy.
