Round8 Studio and Neowiz do not regret the decision to add the title to the Game Pass library – the producer and publisher appreciate the cooperation with Microsoft.
Lies of P has been noticed by the industry, which is not always so easy for development teams that are not part of multi-billion dollar corporations. However, the Koreans established business contacts with the giant from Redmond, and this brought benefits to both parties – the Americans’ flagship service included an extremely promising item, and its creators received marketing support.

Since its debut, the creators of Soulslike could count on the activity of a large part of the community using Xbox Game Pass, but the company appreciates one more aspect of the relationship – Microsoft allocated large funds to promote the production. Considering it’s a new IP, the studio had no reason to complain.
The Xbox team ran a wide range of marketing campaigns for Lies of P, and I can’t reveal the exact numbers here, but a huge number of players played our game via Xbox Game Pass. I believe that both sides achieved a very good result of this cooperation.
Round8 Studio announced that it will make Lies of P an entire universe – currently, work is underway not only on the expansion, but also on the sequel, which was announced before the release of the first part.
It is not known whether the Korean studio will decide to cooperate with Microsoft, but both parties could undoubtedly gain a lot from this relationship.
