The production association YDJ has released a new song “Near the Esplanade”, and this time it is especially interesting from the point of view that the new single was sung by Liene Greifāne.
The song “Near to the Esplanade” is co-authored and also the author of the lyrics is the musician Oskars Deigelis, additional vocals were sung by Ilona Vaitava, however, the main role in the creation of this work belongs to the producer association YDJ and the owner of the strong voice Liene Greifane.
It should be reminded that the singer currently living in a neighboring country is now mostly active in the field of directing, however, at one time she was known as Candy, a member of the show “Talentu Fabrika”, and later – as singer LieneCandy with her hits such as “Morning is far away”, “DJ Heart” and “Merging”. Liene even participated in the competition of young performers of the “Jaunais vilnis” festival.
“Even though Liene regularly “explodes” internet commenters with her view on current topics in Latvia, we consider Liene to be the owner of a great voice, which is perfect for pop music,” Lotars Lodziņš and Jānis Kalve, producers of the association YDJ, quite rightly state. “Working in the studio, we regularly “throw” ideas and make song demos. This time we worked together with Oskar Daigel and at the same time realized that we haven’t heard Liene’s voice for a long time. We decided to correct the situation and offered this song to her. Liene did not refuse, and you can hear the result in the form of “Near the Esplanade”.
Two remixes have also been made for the song, which are available on music streaming platforms. One was created in collaboration with DJ Uga, who regularly plays Latvian hit parties on the program “Deju grīda” of the Latvian hit party “Latviešu hitu radio”, while the author of the other remix is DJ Mart INC, who also works on Latvijas Radio 2, where he produces his Latvian dance music program. “Either version of the song will be a great addition to any house party!” its authors promise.
