The intense rains of yesterday continued throughout the night and until this morning on most of the province of Liege, in Belgium.
After Limbourg, Theux, Spa and Pepinster yesterday hit by bad weather, today it was Verviers to wake up flooded.
Torrential rains have led to a significant rise in the level of the rivers, which are now more than saturated.
Since Wednesday, Spa, Theux, Pepinster – where several houses have collapsed – and Limbourg have been affected, and Verviers it was flooded with water and mud. The pressure on the Vesdre is such that it has generated a widespread flood, from the areas near the embankment to the city center.
