The women’s and men’s pelotons will meet at the Quai des Ardennes this Saturday for the presentation of the teams who will compete in Liège-Bastogne-Liège. The fourth Monument of this 2024 cycling season will take place the next day, Sunday.
For the ladies, 24 teams will take part in the race. The world champion Lotte Kopecky will be there, just like her teammate at SD Worx Demi Vollering, title holder. Among their competitors for the final victory are Elisha Long Borghini (Lidl-Trek) and Katarzyna Niewiadoma (Canyon-SRAM), winner of the Flèche wallonne.
On the men’s side, 25 teams will start. In the absence of the title holder Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step) in particular, all eyes are on Mathieu Van der Poel (Alpecin) et Tadej Pogacar (UAE). Mattias Skjelmose (Lidl-Trek) and Stephen Williams (Israel – Premier Tech), winner of the Flèche Wallonne this Wednesday, are among those who will hope to play spoilsport.
